This abstract expressive painting was inspired by my love of trees. I've planted all kinds of trees for many years in my garden and on our farm. I realize there's no way I'll replace all the trees destroyed by people who do not respect nature. But, in my own way I'm doing something to give back to Mother Earth. It's a fact without trees humanity will not be able to breathe.
As an artist my favorite time of the year to study trees is winter when leaves have fallen and I'm able to view each unique tree shape.. I'm fascinated by how branches reach out like long arms towards the sun. I love how branches bend and sway during storms as though they are dancing with the wind.
Just in case you haven't realized by now... I'm someone who talks to and hugs trees.
