This abstract encaustic is a mixed media painting that involves using a heated wax medium to which colored pigments are added.
This painting is very fragile because it's a collaged painting with items added into the hot wax such as twigs, dried grass - moss and rocks. This artwork was inspired by my walkabouts.
I love collecting rocks whenever I'm traveling and was inspired to add a few of these objects of delight into this collage. These unbelievably beautiful beach rocks with spectacular colors and wonderful lines were discovered on a walk along the shoreline in the beautiful country of Portugal.
